Debut Novel Award
The Seasiders` Write Debut Novel Award is open to writers from anywhere around the world who have not yet published a full-length novel (more than 25,000 words) and do NOT have a literary agent.
Entries should consist of the first 5000 words of your novel together with a one page synopsis. Shortlisted entrants will be required to send the remainder of their completed novel which should be at least 65,000 words.
Entries can be submitted from the 1st March 2022. The closing date for entries is 22nd July 2022.
A longlist of submissions will be drawn up by Friday 19th August 2022 and listed entrants will be notified. A shortlist will then be prepared by Friday 9th September 2022 and all those entrants will be notified and receive an Award Certificate.
The winners of the competition will be announced on Friday 14th October 2022.
The Awards:

The winner will receive a cash sum of £1500 and the publication of their entry by Seasiders` Write as a paperback and eBook. The book launch will be supported by press and media coverage and a package of PR to promote the title.

The first runner-up will receive a cash sum of £500 and the publication of their entry as an eBook listed on a number of digital platforms including Amazon together with a one hour 1-2-1 with the award winning founder of The Empowered Author and "Best connected person in book publishing" Sam Missingham.

The second runner-up will receive a cash sum of £250 and the publication of their entry as an eBook listed on Amazon together with a one year subscription to The Empowered Author https://theempoweredauthor.com/
NB. Authors will retain full publishing rights to their works and Seasiders` Write will not receive any payments from royalties.
Accepted novel categories include all adult fiction. We do NOT accept children`s novels or those written for the young adult market.
